What was the highlight of Kviknes Hotel
Cold room in historic setting. Way overrated unless staying in the historic building.
The old world charm of the historic building was delightful. Breakfast in the old building was excellent.
We had a room in the "modern building" which was not modern at all. Rooms were very small, cold and unwelcoming. Balcony had a concrete railing with a painted pipe on top. Yuk. No sense of luxury at all. Very much an economy room. We had to ask for shampoo. No bathmat for the shower. And is there some reason every hotel on the planet does not yet have a USB charging port on each side of the bed????

Good
Staff is great, and the main building (old house) is very nice from the inside and outside. Located just by the fjord… really nice.
No floor towel to get out of the shower, no shampoo/conditioner, ilumination in the rooms is very poor, shower pressure is on the low side. My room looked and felt VERY outdated. And the horrible building where the rooms are… ruins the entire town.

Beautiful old hotel with many lovely old antique rooms to have a cocktail of after dinner coffee or tea
There is a very new section that is functional and has great views but i think i would have preferred the old section. This is unclear when making resvs

What was the highlight of Kviknes Hotel
Excellent overnight stay on the fjord.
Great location, good food, and lovely view from room’s balcony. Attractive small town with nice hiking trails. Conveniently close to the ferry dock. Great spot for an overnighter on the fjord.
